Technology script

In Te Ngahere, we have been writing a script for our advertisement to sell our technology shelf that our group made.
We are doing a script because we are trying to persuade someone to buy our shelf.
I enjoyed writing the script because it will be really cool if we sell it.
I think I could do better by making my script just a little bit better by adding powerful words in.
I think I did well by putting in great questions.

Learning about breakfast

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about breakfast.
Whaea Gina came into our class and taught us some stuff about healthy breakfast eating.
We had to learn to read the labels. Mostly everyone got given a breakfast card.
I didn’t get a card because I didn’t have any breakfast it was only the people that had breakfast.
Whaea Gina was teaching us to look at cereals that are less than 10 grams of sugar more the 5
grams of fiber and less that 10 grams of fat.

Healthy drinking and healthy eating

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about healthy eating and healthy drinking. Whaea Gina came in yesterday to teach us how many sugar is in fizzy drinks. It was very very surprising to see how much sugar was in the fizzy drinks. The more sugar that’s in drinks, the less healthier it gets. Whaea Gina brought some traffic lights. If it was classified as green means it would be a everyday drink. If it was orange it would be sometimes. Red means you would only drink it occasionally.

Healthy and unhealthy takeaways

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about unhealthy takeaways  and healthy takeaways. We learned about how much fat there is and if it’s a healthy he. art, or an unhealthy heart.  Healthy takeaways will probably be Sushi, and Subway. Unhealthy takeaways will probably be Wendy’s, and Burger King. I enjoyed learning about how much fat is in takeaways. What I could use this information for: in the future I should go and tell other kids about this because they need to know how much fat is in takeaways and hearts.

Technology

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about technology. We have to make something out of pallets. My group is Isaiah, Izaiah  Ezra, and me and we are making a simple shelf. We are almost finished. We just need to sand our big pieces and then drill our object. The point of making our technology object was because we have to sell our object and  get money because we’re going on a camp next term. I really like doing this technology because we got to pick whatever we wanted to make. I think I could do better at participating more. I think we did really well at sanding because we all worked together. I hope you liked my blogpost.. Here is a photo of what we are doing.

gaming

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about gaming. We also  had to fill out a google form about gaming. We read an article about how gaming  can affect our life. It was so fun because I realized how gaming can affect your life because people are sometimes addicted playing on the game. It had questions like how much time you spend on the game. I think this was a really good article because it explains heaps about gaming affects.

Paper Planes

Paper Planes

In Te Ngahere we were making paper planes because half of the class went to Maromaku. We had to try and make the paper  planes fly to 3 metres or over. Before I started to throw my plane I felt a little bit nervous. The worst thing was when  it didn’t go far. I think I could do a better job at making a better paper plane. I think I did good at not giving up and trying. Making the paper planes was really fun I hope we can do it again. This was the best paper plane competition ever.

Plants birds and trees

In Te Ngahere we  have been learning about birds trees and plants. We got in to our panui Groups then did a presentation about a kahikatea tree. We had write down things like where a kahikatea tree lives and what is a threat to it. The thing  I really liked doing with my group was working together and collaborating together. I think picking a kahikatea tree was a really good idea. I think I did well at finding lots of important information. I think I could do better by explaining more.

Explanation

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about a healthy ecosystem. The teachers told us to do a explanations. We had to write what a healthy ecosystem is and what makes a ecosystem. The trickiest thing was to get it done quick because It kind of took a long time to finish my writing. The easiest thing was to do the inorganic matter and the organic matter. I think I've done  really well at staying on task.I think I could do better at not mucking around and not social talking. I hope you like my explanation.

John pepeha

In Te Ngahere we  have been learning to say our pepeha. A pepeha is when you introduce yourself to someone else. We had to make a presentation or a powtoon. We also learnt to include our  grandparents, parents and siblings. We also can include some pictures that related to our pepeha. When we did our pepeha we had to say who was the eldest and the youngest. I think I did really well doing my pepeha because I added lots of information about myself  to add to my visual pepeha. Next time I need to learn to put capital letters in the right place
