Working with Shirley

In Te Maunga, Vinnie Liam Kingston and i have been working with Shirley in the library. We have been reading a story called How To Make Origami Flowers. The first thing we had done was to read the instructions.

They Were.

• Cut some straight strips of colored or patterned paper 7 centimeters wide.
• Take the end edge of a strip of paper and fold it over to meet the side edge when you have both edges carefully line up, run your fingernail along the fold you have made to make it sharp
• Cut your triangle off the strip of paper
• Place you triangle in front of you and fold corner A across to the left
• Now fold corner B across to the right and glue it down
• Turn the paper over. Now you have made one petal
• Make four more petals. Glue them in a circle to a piece of paper or card. Now you have made a flower.
• Make 5 more petals and glue them between your petals to make a double flower.
• Now enjoy your amazing flower.

I think I did well making the flower but I need to place my flower in a better spot.

Break out

      In Te Maunga we have been doing a break out.   Break out is when you try and solve the problem.
         Break out also means helping each other.

         Rules

• sharing with other people.
• collaborating.
• helping each other.
• don't talk if the other person is talking.
• try and solve out the problem. break out also means trying to solve out the code and find what key you need to use.
• I also want to say that when you do a break out sometimes people just go do there own thing. The thing that you are suppose to do is took around in a big group in a circle

Once there was a man called Jason that was trying to blow up the world. before the man almost   blew up the world, a spy came along to try to stop him. Then five thousand wetters came along and became the man’s pets. Also the five thousand wetters lived in the abandoned planet. Then there was another man called Jayden that wanted to help the world from

blowing up. Then the five thousand waters died because Jayden blew up the world. But Jason  worked so hard to stop Jason from blowing up the world. But he couldn’t stop him!

I think Chromebooks  are good because they help us learn.

Chromebooks are also good because if you get stuck you can just watch a video.

We used to only watch videos once but now we can watch videos as much as we like.

Chromebooks help me heaps because i can work on my work at home.

You can also work at home if you are not up to date. Chromebooks are easier because it is always there in front of you. Also you don’t need your book.

Chromebooks are also cool because  they can do better things than on a book. The cool things on the Chromebook is that if you are up to date you can play some learning games\

You can also play maths games reading games writing  spelling games also other learning activity games that you can learn.

Chromebooks are also easier because you can play maths games reading games writing games and  other learning activity games. You can also work. ith a buddy. You can look at other people writing to get some ideas.

That’s why i think Chromebooks are so fun and amazing because they help me a lot in my learning.

tryathlon

Last friday paihia school had a tryathlon.

First everyone went  and got ready, then Mrs Williams talked to us about being sensible at school and at the beach.

 Then we all had to walk to the beach to get ready for a swim. Mrs Williams had another talk to us about where we are going to swim.

Then we went in to the water and swam to some adults and got out of the water and ran to school.

 Once we  got to school we had to run around the field two times or go around the field on your bike two times if you had everything for your bike.

  Surf Life Saving

 When you are going to the beach make sure you are with a parent.Also if you see heaps of surf life saving people that work on the beach go and see them and tell them what you are going to do in the water and how far you are going to swim. Also if you are drowning don't wave your hand just put your hand up straight.Even make sure that you don't go far out because it can take you away and it can hurt you from the big waves. That's why you should swim between the flags and don't go far.
